在爱尔兰学习期间，打零工是很好的挣生活费的方式。爱尔兰规定留学生一周打工时间在20个小时之内，假期时可以增加到40个小时/周，周六有1.5倍工资，周日更能达到2倍工资。一般打工薪酬在10欧元/小时。这样算来，其实很多留学生并不需要用足那些规定的打工时间，毕竟最主要的任务还是学习，一般保持每周打工10小时的状态，就已经可以赚到一个月的基本生活开销。

爱尔兰是留学国家中留学生打工收入较高的一个，一般来说，中国留学生在爱尔兰打工的工资可以达到每小时8欧元，比其他欧盟国家来属于中上水平。

爱尔兰为中国留学生提供的打工职位，主要是中餐馆和麦当劳等餐馆的服务生、商店的'收银员、工厂流水线操作员、酒吧保安等。如果留学生的专业技能较好，也可以到一些专业性较强的行业打工，如计算机编程、钢琴家教等，这类打工收入要比普通打工收入要高出许多。

19岁的刘军高中毕业后赴爱尔兰留学。读完一年预科后，今年他考取了爱尔兰国立大学的计算机工程专业。他说：“你知道吗，爱尔兰是欧洲的软件之都，软件产业极其发达……”

生活费实在昂贵

本来，我已考取了海运学院，但考虑到现在的本科生越来越多，就想到了出国留学。

在网上看到，爱尔兰教育体制严谨，学费不算贵，文科5、6万人民币一年，理科8、9万，就去申请。只用了一个半月，签证就下来了。

第一年在都柏林读预科，学费是5万人民币一年。虽说学费不算太贵，可是生活费……一颗白菜相当于15元人民币，坐公共汽车一张学生票10爱镑(100元人民币)!我们6人合租一幢房子，房租一个月1200爱镑(1.2万元人民币)。为了省钱，大家买了二手自行车，每天骑两个小时到学校，结果到后来，男生都坚持下来了，女生却吃不消了，只好去坐比国内打的还贵的公共汽车。

一娱乐就要花钱，所以我们通常呆在家里看书。偶尔也会去电影院，电影票还算便宜，相当于3棵大白菜。爱尔兰人只喜欢去酒吧看足球，其他的，就不太关心了。所以电影院里一般只有两种人：爱尔兰小孩和外国留学生。

垃圾桶里全是伞

爱尔兰虽说没有上海这样的酷暑，但下起暴雨来，绝对比上海凶猛。去爱尔兰之前，我特地在上海买了一把优质雨伞带过去。结果刚到那里就遇上大风大雨，这把伞就此报销，扔进垃圾桶。可一看垃圾桶，我乐了―――被吹坏的伞有满满一桶!

周末的时候，我们会去海边放松。不过不是去欣赏海景，是为了等渔船―――渔船上的海鲜很便宜，7.8爱镑就可以买到一整条三文鱼，我们吃得不要太爽噢!

都柏林最大的邮局叫GPO，在市中心，交通方便。不知道从什么时候起，GPO大门口成了中国留学生相约见面的最佳场所。大家平时最常说的一句是：“嗨，GPO大门口见!”

一门课考了6小时

我的预科是在爱尔兰的教育学院读的。要读6门，读得很累。因为那里的高中和大学之间，学科知识衔接得很紧密。可这对我们来说就太痛苦了，比如会计和商贸，我们要在预科的一年里读完人家高中3年的全部课程。

5月底到7月初，我参加了爱尔兰“高考”。第一门考的就是中国学生最怵的英语，要考6个小时!(当中有1小时休息时间)一个问题答一页纸勉强及格，要达到优秀的话，至少要答3页纸。为此读预科的时候，我有大半年都在学习如何将一个问题的回答写成4页纸。

两天后考数学，再接下来就是考每个人自己选的科目。6门课总分600分，要进好大学，至少达到400分，240分是最低分数线。一般的，中国学生物理、数学都考得好，但是在英语这门课上都“死”得很难看。

在爱尔兰找工作不难，那里的中国人过得也还算不错，有房有车。爱尔兰不是移民国家，除非和爱尔兰人通，不然就不能获得永久居住权。如果毕业后留在爱尔兰工作，我的年薪会有5万爱镑。可我希望自己读完大学、工作几年后就回上，毕竟还是国内机会多，毕竟家里比国外舒服!

总论：爱尔兰是一个很美丽的岛国，有着悠久的历史和文化，以来，随着越来越多的中国留学生踏上这片神圣而美丽的土地，留**就没有在爱尔兰的社会文化中断流过，直至今日……

中国学生在爱尔兰有越来越多的趋势，回头想想，不知不觉，也已经来爱尔兰两年了。在这两年的时间里，所见到的，所听到的，所感受到的，足够是我一辈子的财产了。

失落和希望伴随着我，快乐和忧伤围绕着我。把我对爱尔兰的感知和生活经验完完全全的告诉他们，希望能给那些，过于乐观的，过于悲观的中国准留学生们一点启示，一点警醒，一点安慰……

一：踏上征途

拿到签证，挥泪告别父母，走上飞机，飞离中国这片土地的时候，亲爱的同学们，你们就已经算是一个留学生了。

全程大约是15个小时，飞机上的食品千万别客气，别不好意思，但要学会说THANK YOU 。这是对你的第一个忠告。

到了中转站（法国，荷兰，德国等等）下了飞机不要惊慌，不要象没头的苍蝇一样的乱转，如果找不到转机的候机厅，请不要让自己的嘴巴空着，你可以问啊，或者在你上飞机前就写好英文的询问纸条，如果您的英文口语不好。千万不要因为机场的各类商店，留恋地误了时间，千万注意啊。还有，不要乱购物。

上了飞机以后大约是1个小时（荷兰），其他的的时间顺延。你就会发现你已经到了你的目的地——爱尔兰

下飞机前检查自己所有的东西，不要拉在飞机上了。

爱尔兰的机场明显的小而落后，但这和你没关系，手持你的机票，护照，学校的通知书（有时候会问你要的），到机场出口的小窗的时候会有人问你的，诸如年龄，学校，来干什么的。朋友，不要惊慌，这可能是你第一次在爱尔兰的国土上和人交谈了，千万放松好吗？

出了检查口，就该取你自己的托运行李了，拿到行李，如果学校有人接机，你就耐心的等着，用自己的眼睛找，不要到处乱跑。

如果你半个小时还没有等到，记住，立刻向自己的学校打电话，学校会告诉你该怎么做的。

你首先接触的也许就是你的寄宿家庭了。所谓的寄宿家庭（HOST FAMILY），是你就读的语言学校，或者是大学帮你申请的在爱尔兰留学期间的生活居住地。

一般是和当地人在同一个屋檐下，那你要好好学会怎么做人了！

外国人喜欢什么不喜欢什么，忌讳什么，不忌讳什么，直接影响到你和他们的关系，以及你在这个家庭中的地位

一般来说，中国留学生大多数都只住一个月就搬了，自己找房子，为什么呢？

一：价格原因。

HOST FAMILY的价格一般比较昂贵，每一个月大多数为550---700，包三餐，也有四周一付的，那就更不合算了。

二：生活习惯问题。

外国人不喜欢在家里吵闹，或者是爆炒食品，一般都不太用油炒，而我们的学生在生活环节上有很多和外国人格格不入，而又在别人的家里，不能造次，没办法，忍吧……一个月后……再也忍不下去了，不看别人的脸色，于是就搬家了！

主要就是这两个原因

PS：外国人忌讳的主要：

1：无休止的吵闹

2：在他们面前讲中国话

3：长时间的洗澡

4：炒炸食品，乌烟瘴气

5：不注意个人卫生，不整理房间

这些都会影响你和他们的关系

当然你也可以获得以下权利：

1，你觉得任何地方不满意的，你可以要求学校给你换HOST FAMILY，你应该学会保护自己。

2，你应该在房子里有自己的空间，你可以带朋友来玩，但最好不要过夜。

3，不必支付除房租以外的任何费用，除非你自己愿意（比如和他们出去旅游等等）

在这期间你必须搞定以下事情：

1：到移民局办理绿卡（注意，这里的绿卡不是永久居留证，只是你在爱尔兰暂时居住的许可证）带好你的护照，学校的信，就没有问题了。免费

2：尽快到银行办理银行卡，带好学校的信，护照，到学校指定的银行办理。（记的要记住你们家的地址，别人要问的），免费

*3：办学生卡。这个之所以打星号是可办可不办，但笔者建议您办，很多东西都可以打折，车票也可以打折。好处不少。大约21欧元左右

4：税卡。如果你要打工，这个东西是必须的，但也有不要税卡的工作，这里不介绍了，属于歪门邪道。带好护照。费用免费

做到以上这些东西之前你要好好的找到一所房子，接下来要好好的告诉你怎么找房子！很重要哦！
